​When I moved to British Columbia in 1998, the long, grey winters left me feeling cold and disconnected. I missed the warmth of home in Iran—especially the joyful moments around the Corsy, a traditional heated table where my family gathered every winter.

 

Years later, longing for that comfort, I began creating a modern version for my new life in Canada. I worked with a professional electrician and tested several types of heaters to find the most effective and safe option. One important reason I chose infrared heat was because of the lack of sunshine in the winter, I wanted a kind of warmth that could go deep into the body, like sunlight, and help restore both mood and energy. After careful experimentation, I found that infrared heat offered deep relief for both body and mind.

 

As someone living with a serious injury in my right knee, caused by a ski accident in Iran over 30 years ago, which left me with no meniscus and no ACL, I was amazed at how much the infrared heat helped ease my pain, lifted my mood, and even improved my sleep, making it deeper and more restful.

 

Traditional doctors in Iran believe that the warmth of Corsy helps prevent blood clots and improves circulation—especially because it keeps the feet warm while breathing oxygen in cold, fresh air. This unique combination, they say, supports healthy blood flow and cardiovascular health. In fact, they believe that using Corsy regularly in winter can help prevent heart attacks and strokes throughout the year. That ancient wisdom deeply inspired me as I refined the idea.

 

What surprised me most was how much Corsy changed my life: it turned the dark and blue days of Vancouver’s fall and winter into warm, happy, and energetic ones.

 

And now, through Corsy, I wish the same comfort and healing for everyone—especially for those with joint pain, emotional sadness, or a family history of heart issues.

 

Through Corsy, I hope to leave behind a legacy of love, comfort, health  and cultural connection that will warm homes for generations.
